Observability User Guide

1. Observability introduction

cClear's Network Observability capabilities offer the tools and processes needed to visualize, analyze, and explore your infrastructure and applications in real time. Utilizing IP-based service and location groups, monitoring points configured with VLANs, and well-known and custom protocols provides insights into what is happening in your network, including when, where, and why certain events occur. This is particularly useful for addressing issues related to latency, connectivity, and quality.

1.1. High-level architecture

The Observability workflows and dashboards deliver both a detailed, high-level overview and granular access to packet data for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting. You can visualize network behavior through multiple views for better correlation and detailed investigation. Additionally, there is one-click access to packet captures (PCAPs) without having to leave the dashboard.

The following diagram provides a high-level view of how your packet data gets to cClear and the Observability workflows.
